APWU National Convention

To all Union Brothers and Sisters,

Over the last few weeks the APWU National Convention took place. The convention featured several guest speakers, political guests, and labor leaders from other major organizations. The National Executive Board spoke extensively about ongoing challenges we are facing in current contract negotiations. The body of delegates deliberated over more than 300 resolutions that were suggested from APWU locals and members all over the country.

This was a week filled with education, information, and spirited debates. Throughout the week we may have had some disagreements because of different views or different needs for our locals or specific crafts, but in general we were able to make some intelligent decisions and passed approximately 200 resolutions for our leadership to take to contract negotiations.

Attached are some pictures from the convention featuring our local delegates Nebojsa Racic, Brandon Terry, Kathleen Wilson, Rachelle Trudel, Michelle Pokutecki, Carrie Wolff and Ed Muoio.
