Buffalo PDC Picket

To all Union Brothers and Sisters,

Buffalo P&DC is in trouble yet again. You may have seen it in the news about the plans to reduce the mail volume that Buffalo handles. With the looming threat of plant consolidation around the country, Buffalo is the target of consolidation once again. The USPS has issued a statement in which it regards that the Buffalo P&DC could potentially lose all originating mail operations, of which those operations would be moved to Rochester. The USPS claims that this will not impede mail and delivery speed nor impact jobs, which is something we do not want to see.

If anyone is available, there is a picket at the Buffalo P&DC main office (1200 William St, Buffslo NY) on Friday, February 23rd, from 11:00 A.M until 1:00 P.M. If you are able to attend the picket to show solidarity to Buffalo it would be much appreciated.

Please keep in mind that this is a peaceful picket if you do attend. The goal is to educate the public on the potential impacts that could happen if the planned considation takes place, and to show support to keep Buffalo’s mail in Buffalo.
